Ludogorets won the match 2-1 but lost the tie 2-3. The Bulgarian outfit now drop into the UEFA Europa League (UEL), as Malmo march into the UCL. A single goal here, from Malmo player Veljko Birmancevic, was enough for the Swedish side to beat the Bulgarians.

A goalless draw in Holland saw the Portuguese team qualify and PSV relegated to the UEL. This was due to the first-leg result when Benfica won 2-1 away from home.
