Ajax welcome Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) group stage battle. Which of the two can earn the first place in Group C?

Ajax are currently sitting in first place of Group C with 6 points while Dortmund are right on their tails on 6 points as well. The only difference are the goals, Ajax scored 7 in two matches so far while Dortmund scored 3. Besiktas and Sporting occupy the bottom of the group with 0 points.

Ajax and Dortmund last faced each other all the way in 2012 during another UCL group stage, and Dortmund won both of their face-offs with the final score of 5-1. This was the season Dortmund went on to lose to Bayern Munich in the final, and both teams changed drastically since then.

Either of them are doing well in their respective leagues and they will hope to carry this form into tomorrow’s game. Both are well known for their work with young talents, and looking at their rosters, it is obvious why. 21-year-old Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is the one we will definitely be watching. His performances this season have been out of this world and his partnership with another Dortmund youngling, 18-year-old Jude Bellingham, is growing stronger by the minute. In Dortmund’s last bout against Mainz Haaland scored two while Bellingham got one assist!

Who to keep an eye on for Ajax? Striker Sebastian Haller! The 1,9 meters tall offensive beast already scored 5 goals in the two UCL matches Ajax have played so far, and his count in the Dutch Eredivisie is no less impressive!

This will surely be a fun offensive match-up of two great talented teams. There is no way we can predict who will win it, but we know Haaland and Haller will put on a great show with lots of goals!
