Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur travel to Everton, for the Italian manager’s first EPL game for the North London club. Who will take the points at the final whistle?

Antonio Conte’s first English Premier League (EPL) game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur takes place on Sunday afternoon, with Everton waiting for them at Goodison Park.

While Spurs enter the game on the back of a 3-2 Europa Conference League win over Vitesse, the Toffees are looking to end a run of three EPL defeats on the bounce.

Everton achieved a 1-0 win over Tottenham in the capital last season, but that triumph represents their only victory from their last 17 Premier League games against Spurs, who are unbeaten in their last eight top-flight games at Goodison Park.

Everton must continue to do without first-team regulars Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucouré for now, while Lucas Digne’s muscle injury will need to be assessed before this match.

André Gomes is also a doubt for this game, and boss Rafael Benitez is still unsure when Yerry Mina will be fit to return from his thigh injury, so Mason Holgate should continue to partner Michael Keane in the Toffees’ defence.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin was fit enough to start and play the first-half against Wolves last Monday, but may now make way for Fabian Delph. Anthony Gordon is also pushing for a recall to the first XI.

Meanwhile, Spurs are expected to make do without Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil once again, while Cristian Romero’s sending off in the Conference League is irrelevant for this game.

Conte selected a near full-strength XI on Thursday night, and the majority of that team should keep their places here, with Eric Dier and Ben Davies continuing in the Italian’s back three. However, Davinson Sanchez is an option if Conte feels a change is required.

Harry Kane has been struggling to fire in the EPL this term, but the England captain will hope to build on his tally of 11 goals from 12 top-flight games against Everton.

Tottenham will be more tired than the hosts after their midweek adventures. With the home side behind them, expect Everton to be good enough for a point. Our prediction is 1-1.
