Chalobah, James, Hudson-Odoi, and Werner all score for the Blues, as they ease past Juventus in London.

Chelsea earned a dominant 4-0 victory over Juventus, courtesy of strikes from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Timo Werner. The Blues now top Champions League Group H and sail into the knockout stages.

Thomas Tuchel’s European champions took control from the beginning and never took their foot off the gas, as they booked their place in the last 16.

22-year-old Defender, Chalobah, smashed the ball into the net past the helpless Wojciech Szczęsny in the 25th minute, after centre-back Antonio Rüdiger teed him up from a Hakim Ziyech corner.

Reece James showed incredible technique to fire a strike into the left-hand corner of the goal, with the clock on 55 minutes. Three minutes later, Hudson-Odoi stroked home a layoff from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Juventus had already qualified for the knockout stages, but the result drops them to second place in the group, level with Chelsea on 12 points, with one round of matches to be played.

Werner capped a fine Chelsea performance before the final whistle, by guiding the ball home from a Ziyech cross.

Chelsea, beaten 1-0 in the reverse fixture in Italy last September, made the Italians look average, running them ragged with complex passing movements and producing 20 shots on goal, to the Old Lady’s eight.

Former Chelsea striker, Álvaro Morata, had the best chance for Massimiliano Allegri’s men when he clipped the ball over advancing Chelsea keeper, Édouard Mendy, in the 28th minute, but 37-year-old defender, Thiago Silva, raced back to superbly hook the ball off the line.

Mendy pulled off a save of his own late in the second half, pushing the ball over the bar from a Weston McKennie shot.

Szczęsny saved Juventus from complete humiliation with a series of fine stops, pushing the ball round the post, from Hudson-Odoi and James’ efforts, as well as foiling Ben Chilwell and Ziyech.
