Tottenham look to sneak into the UEFA Champions League places. The Canaries of Norwich seek to climb away from the relegation zone. What will happen when the two sides lock horns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday?

Looking to register a third English Premier League (EPL) home victory in succession, Tottenham Hotspur welcome Norwich City to North London on Sunday.

Spurs brushed Brentford aside 2-0 in midweek, while Dean Smith’s side could not get past a 10-man Newcastle United, in an encounter that ended 1-1.

Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte’s team occupy 6th place in the EPL table on 22 points. Norwich are already in trouble, deep in the relegation zone, in 19th, with just 10.

Conte has admitted that Giovani Lo Celso will not be ready for a return this weekend, and Cristian Romero’s hamstring problem will keep him out until the New Year. Conte is therefore poised to name an unchanged XI from the Brentford victory.

Harry Kane has netted from the spot in his last three top-flight games against Norwich and could now become the first player in EPL history, to score four times on the bounce from 12 yards, against a single opponent.

For Norwich, Todd Cantwell is ready to play after a COVID-19 scare, but Milot Rashica is recovering from a groin issue

Midfielder, Mathias Normann, will be sidelined for this game too. The Norwegian joins Christoph Zimmermann and Sam Byram on the Canaries‘ treatment tables.

Cantwell could now come into consideration for a start on the left over Christos Tzolis, but other than that, it should be the same XI again for the Canaries.

Smith has instilled defensive qualities into Norwich, but they don’t look likely to trouble Spurs in the final third. We predict a 3-0 victory for Conte’s men, with 2 goals coming in the first half.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting XI:
Lloris; Sánchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Højbjerg, Skipp, Reguilón; Lucas, Kane, Son

Norwich City possible starting XI:
Krul; Aarons, Hanley, Gibson, Williams; McLean, Rupp, Gilmour; Sargent, Pukki, Cantwell
