Tottenham Hotspur return to the pitch for the first time in a fortnight on Sunday when they welcome title-chasing Liverpool to North London, in the most exciting fixture of a COVID-ravaged English Premier League (EPL) weekend.
Ahead of this matchup, Liverpool are second in the EPL, on 40 points, 1 behind leaders, Manchester City. Meanwhile, Spurs sit in 7th with 25 points, but with games in hand over all the sides above them.
Tottenham’s coronavirus problems are not over yet, and boss, Antonio Conte could still be without as many as six players on Sunday because of the virus.
Son Heung-min is one of those understood to be affected and therefore unavailable for Liverpool’s visit, while Emerson Royal, Lucas Moura, Oliver Skipp, Bryan Gil, and Dane Scarlett will all be assessed having tested positive.
