A brace from Saka, as well as successful strikes from Tierney, Lacazette, and Smith Rowe help Arsenal destroy Norwich City in this Boxing Day encounter!

Bukayo Saka found the net twice, as Arsenal continued their quest for Champions League football next season, with a dominant 5-0 victory, away to Dean Smith’s Norwich City on Sunday.

The result leaves Arsenal 4th in the English Premier League table, on 35 points after 19 games, as Mikel Arteta’s side registered their fourth league win in succession.

“It’s a very satisfying result because in this festive period we have to keep performances to a high level,” Arteta said. “We looked really sharp and committed.”

“It’s a big win for us. The amount of chances we create is pleasing. We go to every ground to try and impose our game. Today was a really good example.”

Bukayo Saka gave his side an early advantage with a fine team goal. The 20-year-old collected the ball on the right flank, before finishing an excellent passing move with a left-footed strike past Norwich goalkeeper, Angus Gunn.

Arsenal doubled their lead just before half-time when midfielder, Martin Ødegaard, found Kieran Tierney, who slotted home off the far post.

Arteta’s outfit maintained their dominance after the break, and Saka took advantage once again when he added a third 23 minutes from time, with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, as the Norwich defence backed off.

Alexandre Lacazette won a penalty on 83 minutes when he was felled by Norwich centre-back, Ozan Kabak, which the Frenchman powerfully dispatched.

Emile Smith Rowe then capped a successful Sunday for Arsenal. The forward came off the bench and found the net from point-blank range, to consign the Canaries to the foot of the EPL table and keep the Gunners on track in their hunt for a Champions League spot.
